1st December 2011 saw Crest staff members
Kerry, Mitch, Teegan and Nina cooking up a storm
for the students, teachers, friends and family at
the Hunter Orthopaedic School’s 2011 Presentation
BBQ.
We, at Crest, are proud to donate our efforts and
our time to deserving organisations such as the
Hunter Orthopaedic School. Our efforts, we know, are
always appreciated with an enjoyable time being had
by all.
We look forward to many more events at the school.
2011 Crest
Invitational Corporate
Charity Challenge - Newcastle Golf Course

November 11th, 2011 saw Crest Financial Services
hold another successful Charity Golf Day at
Newcastle Golf Course.
With the course in tip top condition, a field of 90
players gathered to take on the challenge.
Following a bacon and egg breakfast, the players
headed out to play a four man ambrose competition.
There were
a number of challenges on the course including
Nearest to Pin, Longest Drive and Straightest Drive.

The lucky winners for the day were the Ace
Scaffolding team consisting of Ryan Zeitsch, Mitch
Bates, Scott Talirico and Mitch Ramsbotham (pictured
across) with a net score of 51½ . This was followed
by a close second and third by the teams at Hulin
Chadwick Lawyers (53½) and Sharp Electronics Group
(54 ¼).
All
proceeds made from the day were donated to our
nominated charities which include: Riding for the
Disabled Raymond Terrace, Hunter Orthopaedic School
and Legacy Australia.

Maitland Business
Chamber Blood Drive Challenge touches the hearts of
our East Maitland staff.
October
2011: It was scary, however Susan Mullard
(pictured with Billy the Blood Drop) raised herself
up and allowed the donation of blood to flow.
"I was extremely
scared before my first blood donation, after
donating I realised there was nothing to be afraid
of. I've now booked to donate again in 12 weeks
time."
Red Cross Blood
Service spokesperson Talia Bissett is encouraging
those who may be scared of donating to follow
Susan's lead.
"The tiny pinch of
the needle only lasts a couple of seconds. Yet your
blood could mean a lifetime to the person who
receives it."
The challenge
encourages staff of Maitland businesses to donate
blood not only to support their community, but also
in the hope of taking out the challenge title. The
competition is on between businesses to see which
one can donate the most blood before November 30.
1 in 3 people will
need blood at sometime in their lifetime, yet only 1
in 30 donates.
We at Crest Financial
Services are proud to be a part of this life saving
challenge.
Well done team...

Congratulations to
The Crest Financial Services team
who participated in the 2011 Avon Race held on
Sunday 23rd October on the Newcastle foreshore, NSW.
The Breast Cancer Institute were delighted that over
3,200 entrants helped to make the 15th and final
Avon race for research the best ever!
Funds raised are
still being tallied but it is hoped to reach
$50,000. The funds will be directed to the national
breast cancer research programs of the Australia and
New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group.
Crest to the Barbeque
Culinary skills came
to the fore when, on Friday 3rd December 2010, a
number of Crest’s staff donated time to help out at
Hunter Orthopaedic School’s 2010 Presentation BBQ.
Paul, James, Greg,
Chantelle, Rene and Nina cooked up a storm for the
students, family, friends and staff. Their efforts
were greatly appreciated; a delicious lunch and a
fun time was enjoyed by all.
We look forward to
helping out at the school again soon.
2010 Crest
Invitational Corporate
Charity Challenge - Newcastle Golf Course

It was a grey showery
morning Friday 15th October, 2010 but that did not
deter the 100 plus keen golfers who came along to
participate in the 2010 Crest Invitational Corporate
Charity Challenge
held at Newcastle Golf
Course. After a warming breakfast the players headed
out to play a round of four man ambrose
competition.
Trivia questions
(which I am told were rather hard) were put to the
players at each hole as
well as a number of other challenges including:
Nearest to Pin, Longest Drive, Straightest Drive and
the Pink Panther Challenge.
The rain persisted
nearly all morning but did not discourage our
golfers.
The lucky winners of
the day were the team from Steven Parrot Solicitors
(Nelson Bay) with an impressive 53 ¾ net score.
The day was a great
success with all proceeds of the day going to Crest's
nominated charities: Hunter Orthopaedic School,
Humpty Dumpty Foundation and Riding for the
Disabled Association.
We would like to say
thank you to all our Sponsors and Corporate
Supporters for helping to make the day possible.
We would also like to
thank Paul Foulcher and his team at Newcastle Golf
Club.
Thank you all.

donate blood to the Red Cross Blood Bank. They enjoy
the trip to the blood bank and the party pies, milk

the community.
B B Q Breakfast
To thank the staff at
the Hunter Orthopaedic School for their efforts and
contributions throughout the year, staff at Crest
volunteered their time at the school to prepare a
BBQ breakfast for the staff of the school.

Crest Invitational
Corporate Charity Challenge
Crest holds an Annual Invitational Corporate Charity
Challenge Golf Day.
Representatives from
the business communities of Newcastle, Maitland and
Port Stephens rally together and put business
interests aside for the day to help raise money for
The Hunter Orthopaedic School.
Paul Howden, Managing
Director of Crest Financial Services, said "The
school does an incredible job in helping and
supporting the children and their families and is
very worthy of any support they can muster".
