On Thursday 27th July, Ruby Stevens from our accounting team was awarded a merit in the Management Accounting and Applied Finance module of her Chartered Accountants Program.

The event was hosted by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, to recognise outstanding achievements of candidates. The institute also congratulated new graduates of the program, which Ruby is looking forward to in November of next year. It was a lovely evening filled with canapes and drinks, as well as inspirational speakers.

The merit Ruby was awarded means she is in the Top 5% of candidates in Australia and New Zealand. She was the only candidate in attendance from the Newcastle/Hunter region, which is a significant achievement as all other recipients were from large firms in Sydney.

Ruby is being mentored by Keith Compton, who is part of the Crest Accounting team in East Maitland, while completing her program.

Ruby works between both our East Maitland and Newcastle offices, liaising with Crest advisers to provide services to Self-Managed Super Fund clients, as well as individuals and small business clients.

Completing the Chartered Accountants Program is allowing Ruby to broaden her professional knowledge and experience, building upon her University studies to create high quality and holistic services for our Crest clients.
