At Crest, we place a great emphasis on the ongoing training and development of our financial planners and staff. To this end, we were pleased that a number of our financial planners invested their own time and money to attend this year’s annual conference run by our advice licensee (Charter Financial Planning). The Summit offered a great forum to learn from industry experts while also mixing with peers from around the country and was invaluable for the ongoing development of our team.
This year’s 3 day conference was attended by over 1,600 delegates from around Australia and was held at the Adelaide Convention Centre. The Summit was hosted by comedian and mathematician Adam Spencer and included quality guest speakers such as Marcus Buckingham, Michael Crossland and Andrew Denton. The program was a combination of peer to peer learning, workshops and industry specialist speakers, who covered various aspects crucial to the financial planning profession.
As always, the Summit culminated with a Gala Dinner and awards ceremony, which was held at the historic Adelaide Oval and was hosted by retired Australian test cricketer Damien Fleming. Crest Financial Services was once again named a ‘Leader Practice’ for 2016, a title which the team are pleased to retain. It was an enjoyable night that recognised the positive impact that advisers make in the lives of their clients and celebrated the high professional standards required to deliver this advice.
